I have always been fascinated by reflections but hesitated to paint them because of their difficulty. Mr John Murray's barn mirrored in the mill-pond behind the dam of the venerable old mill was irresistible and I vowed to capture the moment before it disappeared forever. more » Bodie Island Reflections I just happened to be at the Outer Banks of North Carolina at the right time to catch the majestic Bodie Island Lighthouse reflected in standing ouvernight rainwater. This beautiful guardian of our coast gracefully presides over its realm with a quiet dignity. Bodie Island Lighthouse Visitor's Center is open to the public and is located approximately seven miles south of Whalebone Junction. It is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. more »
