It's that time again...time for the Artwalk in Historic Downtown Mooresville on Friday, August 8 from 5-8 p.m. On the Corner of Art and Main Join us at "Cotton" Ketchie's Landmark Galleries on Friday evening, August 8 for the monthly artwalk in downtown Mooresville. "Cotton's" orignal watercolors and giclee prints will be featured along with his amazing photography. He will be available to autograph a special copy of his two books, Memories of a Country Boy and A Country Boy's Education and may even be coerced into doing a private reading just for you. The gallery also features North Carolina pottery. Numerous musicians will be playing throughout the downtown area as "artwalkers" make their way from shop to shop. During the evening, the gallery will be featuring the works of Michele Bolling, a New Jersey native, who now makes her home in Mooresville. She retired from the pharmaceutical industry in 2001 and has concentrated on her painting since that time. She enjoys working with several media including colored pencil, scratchboard, pen & ink, watercolor, and mixed media. You'll enjoy meeting Michele and seeing her works. more » Featuring... The gallery will also be featuring the works of author and artist, Donita Glinski. Since childhood, Donita has loved writing and the theater. Her first book, "Yellow Slickers, Paper Rings & Things", was published in 2005. Since then she has published two children's books. Several years ago, she began working with pastels and has become quite an accomplished artist as well. She now resides in Mooresville and will be available to meet you and discuss her works. more »
