"Cotton" Ketchie's Landmark Galleries proudly announces the release of two new limited edition giclees
Chief Wanchese
The town of Wanchese, North Carolina was named for an Indian Chief, the brother of Chief Manteo. These two Native American's accompanied Sir Walter Raleigh's explorers, Phillip Amadas and Arthur Barlowe, to England in 1584 to meet Queen Elizabeth I. The quaint village of Wanchese is located on the south end of Roanoke Island. The trawler, Chief Wanchese, was built in 1979 for Mr. R.K. Tillet and was one of the main vessels that led the fishing fleet through Oregon Inlet and on to the Atlantic Ocean. more »
Boating Access
The NC Wildlife Resources Commission has conveniently placed boat ramps along NC waterways to aid fisherman and duck hunters alike in loading and unloading their watercrafts so that they can indulge in their avocations. "Cotton" found this old weathered boat listing to one side and basking in the warm sun in the peaceful community of Stumpy Point, NC. more »
